The paper is centred on a singularly perturbed quasilinear two-point boundary value problem with an exponential boundary layer. The problem is discretized using a hybrid difference scheme on generalized Shishkin-type meshes. The author gives a uniform second-order error estimate in the discrete maximum norm. Numerical experiments support the theoretical results.
