In an earlier paper [Ann. Pure Appl. Logic 26, 75-87 (1984; Zbl 0551.03032)] the author has shown that it is consistent that CH does not hold and there is a universal graph of size \(\omega_ 1\). Here this is generalized to higher cardinals, namely that there may exist a universal graph of size \(\lambda\), where \(\lambda\) is regular and for some \(\kappa\), \(\kappa =\kappa^{<\kappa}<\lambda <2^{\kappa}\) holds.
