For an arbitrary function \(h:(0,\infty)\to\mathbb{R}\) define \(h^*:(0,\infty)\to\mathbb{R}\) by \(h^*(x):=xh(x^{-1})\). During the Twentyseventh International Symposium on Functional Equations the reviewer proposed to call \(h^*\) a ``conjugate'' of \(h\). After the talk T. M. K. Davison asked the question if every analytic \(h\) in a neighbourhood of 1 such that \(h^*=h\) is of the form \(h(x)=\sum^ \infty_{n=0}a_ n(x-1)^{2n}x^{(1-2n)/2}\) in a neighbourhood of 1, where \(a_ n\) are some real numbers. This paper gives a positive answer.
