Monic orthogonal polynomial systems (MOPS) such that \(Q_{2n}(x)= P_n \pi_2(x)\), \(Q_1(x)= x-b\), where \(\pi_2(x)\) is a fixed polynomial of degree 2, are considered. The eigenproblem of a tridiagonal 2-Toeplitz matrix is solved with a convenient choice of the MOPS. Explicit relations between the Jacobi matrices corresponding to the orthogonal polynomial systems \(\{P_n\}_{n\geq 0}\) and \(\{Q_n\}_{n\geq 0}\) are determined. The semiclassical case is analyzed. If the MOPS \(\{P_n\}_{n\geq 0}\) is semiclassical, the \(\{Q_n\}_{n\geq 0}\) still remains semiclassical, provided that the orthogonal relations are satisfied. The classical case is studied in detail.
