Let \(n\) be a positive integer, and let \(-1< x_{nn}(w)<x_{n- 1,n}(w)<\cdots< x_{1n}(w)<1\) be the zeros of the Jacobi polynomials \(p_ n(w,x)\) which are orthonormal with respect to the Jacobi weight \(w(x)=(1-x)^ \alpha(1+x)^ \beta\) for \(| x|\leq 1\), and 0, otherwise, and \(\alpha,\beta>-1\). For every integer \(m\geq 1\) we consider the Hermite interpolation operator \(H_{nm}(w,f)\) which is defined to be the unique polynomial of degree \(\leq mn-1\) such that \(H^{(j)}_{nm}(w,f,x_{nn})=f^{(j)}(x_{nn})\), \(1\leq k\leq n\), \(0\leq j\leq m-1\). Let \(0<p<+\infty\), and denote \(\| f\|_{up}=\Bigl(\int^ 1_{-1}| f(t)|^ p u(t)dt\Bigr)^{1/p}\), where \(u(t)\) is a nonnegative measurable function. In this paper for \(f\in C^{m-1}\) some theorems are proved about the condition of convergence \(\| H^{(j)}_{nm}(w,f)- f^{(j)}\|_{u,p}\to 0\) for fixed \(j\in\{0,1,\dots,m-1\}\) as well as the rate of convergence when then conditions are fulfilled.
