The performed analysis of the scientific literature allows to conclude that the study of planar plates with rectangular cuts and with inhomogeneities is insufficiently developed. There is no general theory for studying the elastic-plastic states of such plates. The majority of the known studies were realized mainly for the 2D Kirchhoff and Timoshenko models. Mathematical models of physically nonlinear inhomogeneous planar plates with rectangular cuts for studying their elastic-plastic states are built on the basis of the 3D theory of elasticity in this article. 3D mathematical models of plates with complex geometrical shapes and loads are constructed while considering the material physical nonlinearity. The deformation theory of plasticity, the Mises plasticity criterion and the method of variable parameters of Birger elasticity are used. The theory takes into account arbitrary deformation diagrams, different boundary conditions, transverse loads, material inhomogeneities, and inhomogeneities in the form of holes. The mathematical models were validated. The method of finite elements was applied; the convergence of this method was investigated. On the basis of numerical experiments, the influence of inhomogeneities in the form of various holes in the plates on their stress-strain state is demonstrated and discussed. In all examples considered, the presence of inhomogeneity in the plate yields increased plastic deformations and increased the values of displacements. It is shown also that the notches are stress concentrators in the plate.
