This book provides an introduction to modeling, analysis and simulation techniques for fluid-structure interactions. The book is divided into three parts. The first part gives an overview of different material laws and an introduction to the basic models of continuum mechanics. The first part contains also an introduction to the finite element method and into methods for time discretization of partial differential equations. In the second part Lagrangian-Eulerian approach, fully Eulerian formulation of fluid-structure interactions, linear Solvers and error estimations are described. In the third part different applications involving fluid-structure interactions are presented. The last part also describes Optimization problem for fluid-structure interactions, Mechano-chemical fluid-structure interactions, Fluid-structure interactions with contact. Some examples illustrate presented models and methods. This book can be useful to engineers, researchers and students.
