If \(D=\{(x,y):0<x<1\), \(f(x)<y<1\}\), where \(f\) is negative, upper semicontinuous and bounded below, then the semigroup of the Dirichlet Laplacian in \(D\) is intrinsically ultracontractive. Analogues in higher dimensions are proved.
