    The paper considers the optimal control problem \[ \int_Q [f_0(x, t,y(x, t))+ h(u(x, t))] dx dt\to\min, \] \[ y_1(x, t)- \text{div}[A(x, t)\nabla_x y(x,t)]= f(x, t,y(x,t))+ g(u(x, t)),\quad (x,t)\in Q, \] \[ y(x, 0)= y_0(x),\quad y|_{\partial\Omega\times (0,T)}= 0,\quad u(x,t)\in U, \] where \(Q= \Omega\times (0,T)\), \(\Omega\in \mathbb{R}^n\) is a bounded domain with a \(C^{1,1}\) boundary \(\partial\Omega\) and \(U\) is a compact metric space. Under assumptions, which give some nondegeneracy of the maximum principle for optimal relaxed controls, the author shows the existence of a classical optimal control. Results are illustrated by examples.
