The bending problem for symmetrically stacked infinite Kirchhoff plates containing an elliptic hole or rigid inclusion is solved by means of Stroh-like formalism using a stress function vector and a slope vector as complex variables. The material eigenvalues are supposed to be distinct, so that the solution is not directly applicable to isotropic materials.
