This paper develops the so-called booster method for solving singularly perturbed selfadjoint boundary value problems subject to Neumann boundary conditions. The method works by first computing an approximation \(\overline y\), by a perturbation method, to the solution \(y\) and then solving \[ L_n(y_b)= F+ L_n(\overline y)- L(\overline y), \] where \(L_n\) is the discretization operator to \(L\). Error estimates are given and numerical results presented on some linear and semilinear problems.
