    We study a class of resonant quasilinear elliptic problems \[ \begin{cases} -\Delta_p u-\lambda_1h |u|^{p-2} u+g(x,u)=f(x),\;x\in\mathbb{R}^N\\ u\in D^{1,p} (\mathbb{R}^N), \quad N>p>1,\end{cases} \] where \(\Delta_p= \text{div} (|\nabla u|^{p-2} \nabla u)\), \(f(x)\in L^{p'} (\mathbb{R}^N)\), \(1/p'+ (1/p)=1\), \(h:\mathbb{R}^N \to\mathbb{R}\) is nonnegative and measurable, \(g:\mathbb{R}^N \times \mathbb{R}\to \mathbb{R}\) is Carathéodory function (that is, \(g(x,s)\) is measurable with respect to \(x\) for every \(s\) in \(\mathbb{R}\), and continuous with respect to \(s\) in \(\mathbb{R}\) for almost every \(x\) in \(\mathbb{R}^N)\) and \(\lambda_1= \lambda_1(h)\) is the first eigenvalue of an eigenvalue problem \[ \begin{cases} -\Delta_p u=\lambda h|u|^{p-2} u,\;x\in\mathbb{R}^N, \\ u\in D^{1,p} (\mathbb{R}^N),\end{cases} \] with principal eigenfunction \(\varphi_1>0\) in \(\mathbb{R}^N\). Imposing that \(h\) satisfies the condition \[ h\in C^0_b(\mathbb{R}^N)\cap L^{N/p}(\mathbb{R}^N), \] we are able to treat the resonant problem in \(\mathbb{R}^N\), such as in bounded domains.
