This paper deals with resolution of nonlinear integral equations of Hammerstein type. A one parametric family of secant-type iterations is used for solving these nonlinear equations in Banach spaces. A semilocal convergence result is obtained by means of recurrence relations. Then the authors obtain existence and uniqueness results. A numerical example is solved and the solution is approximated by different secant-type methods. I suggest to the authors the using of the Adomian decomposition method working without discretization or linearization. This technique gives a solution explicitly depending on the space or time variables. A comparison between the two techniques could be interesting.
