Let $\text{Iso}(X,Y)$ be the set of all surjective linear isometries between two Banach spaces $X$ and $Y$. A mapping $\Delta : X \rightarrow Y$ (not necessarily linear nor continuous) is called a weak-2-local isometry or a weak-2-local $\text{Iso}(X,Y)$-map if, given $x_1, x_2 \in X$ and $\phi \in Y^*$, there exists $T\in \text{Iso}(X,Y)$ such that \[ \phi(Tx_j)= \phi (\Delta x_j) \quad (j=1,2). \] The main question concerning these maps is whether they are linear and, in that case, whether they are, in fact, surjective isometries. In this paper, the authors prove that every weak-2-local isometry is linear in the following cases: \begin{itemize} \item when $\Delta$ is a weak-2-local isometry between uniform algebras, or \item when $\Delta$ is a weak-2-local $\text{Iso}((\text{Lip}(E),\lVert \cdot \rVert),(\text{Lip}(F),\lVert \cdot \rVert))$-map and $\text{Iso}((\text{Lip}(E),\lVert \cdot \rVert),(\text{Lip}(F),\lVert \cdot \rVert))$ is canonical, i.e., every surjective isometry is a weighted composition operator. Several norms in the space of Lipschitz functions are considered in the paper. \end{itemize} The results are proved using generalized versions of the Gleason-Kahane-Żelazko and Kowalski-Słodkowski theorems.
