The Riesz operator of order \(\alpha\) on the space weighted with the Gaussian measure \(d\gamma=e^{-|x|^2}dx\) is the operator \(D^\alpha L^{-\frac{|\alpha|}{2}}\Pi_0\), where the operator \(L=-\frac{1}{2}\Delta+x\cdot \nabla\) is the natural Laplacian and \(\Pi_0\) is the extended orthogonal projection from \(L^2(\gamma)\) on the domain of definition of \(L^{-b}\). In the article the two following results are presented. 1. For any multiindex \(\alpha\) with \(|\alpha|=2\), the Riesz operator of order \(\alpha\) is of weak type \((1,1)\) with respect to \(\gamma\). 2. For any multiindex \(\alpha\) with \(|\alpha|>2\), the Riesz operator of order \(\alpha\) is not of weak type \((1,1)\) with respect to \(\gamma\). These results complete the study of the behavior of the Riesz operators on \(L^1(\gamma)\) started by \textit{B. Muckenhoupt} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 139, 243-260 (1969; Zbl 0175.12701)] and then continued by \textit{E. B. Fabes, C. E. Gutierrez} and \textit{R. Scotto} [Rev. Mat. Iberoam. 10, No. 2, 229-281 (1994; Zbl 0810.42006)] and \textit{L. Forzani} and \textit{R. Scotto} [Stud. Math. 131, No. 3, 205-214 (1998; preceding review)].
