Due to several questions on the economics of environment management the authors developed a study of a class of optimization dynamics displaying irreversibility. The paper is organized as follows: Section 2 contains the modeling of the problems under the preliminary consideration. Section 3 proves the existence and the uniqueness of a solution of the main problem in a weak form formutation. After this the authors study conditions on the data, \(f(x)\) and the obstacle function in order to avoid the emptiness of the coincidence set. Finally, several special cases are illustrated in the fifth section.
