The author [J. Geom. 110, No. 1, Paper No. 11, 15 p. (2019; Zbl 1410.51012)] introduced topological parallelisms on the space of oriented lines, that is, partitions $\varPi$ of the twofold covering space $\mathcal{L}^+$ of the line space of $\mathrm{PG}(3,\mathbb{R})$, into oriented spreads such that $\varPi$ is compact in the Hausdorff topology on the space of compact subsets of $\mathcal{L}^+$. This more general notion of oriented parallelism allowed the author to obtain much larger classes of models than with (ordinary) topological parallelisms. \par Many results for topological parallelisms remain valid for oriented parallelisms. The automorphism group $\Aut\varPi$ of $\varPi$ is a compact Lie group of dimension at most 6. Furthermore, only Clifford parallelisms have $\dim\Aut\varPi\ge 4$. If a group of automorphisms is connected and 3-dimensional, then it is isomorphic to $\mathrm{SO}(3,\mathbb{R})$. Those parallelisms with a reducible $\mathrm{SO}(3,\mathbb{R})$-action were completely determined by the author [loc. cit.] and \textit{D. Betten} and \textit{R. Riesinger} [Aequationes Math. 81, No. 3, 227--250 (2011; Zbl 1222.51009)]. \par In the paper under review, the author deals with parallelisms $\varPi$ that admit an irreducible $\mathrm{SO}(3,\mathbb{R})$-action. He shows that in this case $\varPi$ is Clifford. In the proof, one factor $\Upsilon$ of $\mathrm{PSO}(4,\mathbb{R})\cong \mathrm{SO}(3,\mathbb{R})\times \mathrm{SO}(3,\mathbb{R})$, which by convention describes the right oriented Clifford parallelism, is studied and its action on $\varPi$ and members of $\varPi$ is analysed. It is shown that a trivial action on $\varPi$ results in the right oriented Clifford parallelism, and a transitive action on $\varPi$ leads to the left oriented Clifford parallelism. As a corollary the author obtains a classification of regular (topological or oriented) parallelisms whose automorphism groups are at least 3-dimensional.
