This paper considers the conditions under which asymptotic complete synchronisation of a hierarchical network of Kuramoto phase oscillators occurs. If \(\dot{\theta}_i\) and \(\dot{\theta}_j\) are the angular velocities of oscillators \(i\) and \(j\) respectively, asymptotic complete synchronisation means \(\lim_{t\rightarrow\infty}|\dot{\theta}_i-\dot{\theta}_j|=0\) for all \(i,j\). A hierarchical network is one in which the oscillators are ordered in such a way that oscillator \(i\) is only influenced by oscillators whose indices are less than \(i\). Such a network has a triangular connectivity matrix. The criteria for which asymptotic complete synchronisation occurs involve initial phases of the oscillators and the strength of the coupling. Numerical results are given to illustrate theoretical results.
