Let \(H^2(\mathbb D^n)\otimes\mathbb C^N\) denote the \(\mathbb C^N\)-valued Hardy space over the polydisc \(\mathbb D^n\subset \mathbb C^n\). The author studies several integer-valued numerical invariants which are defined for an arbitrary invariant subspace \(\mathcal M\) of \(H^2(\mathbb D^n)\otimes\mathbb C^N\). These invariants include the multiplicity invariant \(m(\mathcal M)\), the Samuel multiplicity \(e(\mathcal M)\), and the fiber dimension \(f.d.(\mathcal M)\). The author proves that for an invariant subspace \(\mathcal M\) of \(H^2(\mathbb D^n)\otimes\mathbb C^N\), the multiplicity \(m(\mathcal M)\) satisfies \(m(\mathcal M)\in\{0,1,\dots,N\}\), \( m(\mathcal M)+ m(\mathcal M^{\perp})=N\), and \(m(\mathcal M) = f.d.(\mathcal M)\). If the subspace \(\mathcal M\) is generated by any (vector-valued) polynomial, then one also has \(m(\mathcal M) = e(\mathcal M)\).
