It is proved that it is impossible to fold the pleated hyperbolic paraboloid with the standard crease pattern in the standard mathematical model of zero-thickness paper. Nevertheless, the authors show that with additional creases the folding is possible and they conjecture that this is also the case for the circular version of the model.
