Nash groups are groups with a compatible Nash manifold structure, i.e. a structure of a smooth manifold modelled on real semi-algebraic sets. A Nash group is called almost linear if it admits a finite-dimensional Nash representation with finite kernel. For an almost linear Nash group \(G\), the authors define a homology theory, the \textit{Schwartz homology}, for the category of smooth Fréchet representations of moderate growth. More precisely, the Schwartz homologies \(H^{\mathcal{S}}_i(G;V)\) of \(G\) with values in a representation \(V\) are topological vector spaces, constructed using a strong projective resolution of \(V\) and its covariants which are defined in terms of Schwartz functions on the Nash group. It is shown that the Schwartz homologies \(H^{\mathcal{S}}_i(G;V)\) can be naturally identified with the smooth homologies \(H_i(G;V)\) defined by \textit{P. Blanc} and \textit{D. Wigner} [Lett. Math. Phys. 7, 259--270 (1983; Zbl 0548.57026)], and with the relative Lie algebra homologies \(H_i(\mathfrak{g},K;V)\), where \(K\subseteq G\) is a maximal compact subgroup and \(\mathfrak{g}\) the Lie algebra of \(G\). The authors further establish analogues of Frobenius Reciprocity and Shapiro's Lemma in this category, and obtain a criterion for automatic extensions of Schwartz homologies of Schwartz sections of a tempered \(G\)-vector bundle.
