The authors discuss convergence properties of approximate solutions of the 3D steady incompressible Euler equations, in general, as well as the axially symmetric without swirls case. It is shown that there is a balance between the energy distribution of the weak limit and the defect measure of the approximate solutions. An example constructed by using Hill's solution for the Hill's spherical vortex problem is also discussed.
