The article shows the well-posedness of the initial boundary value problem for the Einstein equations with the requirement that the timelike boundary is a geodesic. This is achieved by considering an ADM formulation with respect to a parallely propagated along timelike geodesics orthonormal frame and showing that by adding constraints to the evolution equations one can obtain a symmetric hyperbolic system.
