    Applying an Euler integral representation for a special class of the generalized hypergeometric functions \({}_ {q+1}F_ {q}\) for \(q\geq 2\) given in [\textit{K. A. Driver} and \textit{S. J. Johnston}, Electron. Trans. Numer. Anal. 25, 115--120 (2006; Zbl 1108.33005)], the authors obtain expansions of these functions in series of functions of the same kind. Some of their results are particular cases of a transform of \textit{T. W. Chaundy} [Q. J. Math., Oxf. Ser. 14, 55--78 (1943; Zbl 0063.00808)] proved by using differential operators and given by \[ \begin{multlined} (1-z)^{-a}{}_ {q+1}F_ {q}\left(a, b_1, \dots, b_q; c_1, \dots, c_q; \frac{xz}{z-1}\right)\\ =\sum_{k=0}^{\infty}\frac{(a)_k z^k}{k!} {}_ {q+1}F_ {q}(-k, b_1, \dots, b_q; c_1, \dots, c_q; x). \end{multlined} \]
