The authors study the three dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes-Poisson system with \(\gamma\)-law pressure and density- dependent viscosity coefficients in the simulation of the motion of gaseous stars. For \(\gamma\in(\frac{6}{5},\frac{4}{3}]\) and for general initial data with compact support, a class of spherically symmetric weak solution is constructed globally in time for the free boundary value problem of the system.
