This work considers mathematical issues connected with the Bose-Einstein condensate considered not as an isolated system but accompanied by a non-condensed thermal cloud. This results in the coupling between nonlinear Schrödinger and the linear Boltzmann equations. The main result consists of the proof that such a coupled system has a unique solution, and, moreover, the Boltzmann's part of the solution decays exponentially in time towards the equilibrium.
