The authors consider the system of equations \[ \frac{\partial}{\partial t}X_t^k(a)=\frac{\kappa^2}{2}\Delta X_t^k(a)+\sqrt{\gamma X_{t}^1(a)X_{t}^2(a)}\dot{W}_{t}^k(a), \] \(t>0, a\in R, k=1,2\), starting from suitable \(X_0^k\geq 0\) and where \(\kappa,\gamma >0\) are the dispersion and collision rates, respectively, while \((\dot{W}_{t}^1,\dot{W}_{t}^2)\) is a correlated pair of standard white noises on \(R_{+}\times R\) with correlation constant \(\rho\in[-1,1]\): \[ E\dot{W}_{t^1}^1(da^1)\dot{W}_{t^2}^2(da^2)=\rho (t^1\wedge t^2)\delta_0(a^1-a^2)da^1da^2. \] The case \(\rho=0\) corresponds to mutually catalytic branching model in \(R\), considered, for instance, by \textit{D. A. Dawson} and \textit{E. A. Perkins} [Ann. Probab. 26, No. 3, 1088--1138 (1998; Zbl 0938.60042)], the case \(\rho=-1\) with \(X_0^1+X_0^2=1\) corresponds to the continuous space stepping stone model treated by \textit{T. Shiga} [Can. J. Math. 46, No. 2, 415--437 (1994; Zbl 0801.60050)], the case \(\rho=1\) is related to continuous space Anderson model analyzed by \textit{C. Mueller} [Stochastics Stochastics Rep. 37, No. 4, 225--245 (1991; Zbl 0749.60057)]. The intermediate case \(0<| \rho| <1\) has not been investigated yet and shares, as shown in the paper, a number of properties known for the listed models among which are self-duality, particle system moment duality, measure case moment duality and some others. Besides, it is demonstrated that in the setting of one-dimensional continuum the compact interface property holds for the intermediate case: starting from complementary Heaviside states, the interface is compact at each time almost surely and propagates at most with a linear speed.
