The regularity of wavelet functions is important both in mathematics and applications. This paper presents an algorithm for computing Sobolev regularity of wavelets by using thermodynamic approach. One of main results, Theorem 2.2, is used to estimate the Sobolev exponent \(s_p\) for some interesting examples. Although those examples are compactly supported, the result can be extended to deal with non compact wavelets and even in higher dimensional cases.
