A new class of infinite-dimensional Lie algebras \(W_\infty(N_+, N_-)\) is studied, which generalizes a standard \(W_\infty\) algebra (1985, Zamolodchikov; 1990, Pope, Romans, Shen) viewed as a tensor operator algebra of the pseudo-unitary group SU\((1,1)\). The \(W_\infty(N_+, N_-)\) algebra is treated as an infinite-dimensional continuation of the symmetry \(U(N_+, N_-)\) (2000, Calixto), or as ``higher-\(U(N_+, N_-)\)-spin extension'' of the diffeomorphism algebra \(\text{diff}(N_+, N_-)\) (1990, Bergshoeff, Blen\-cowe, Stelle) of the \(N= N_+ +N_-\) torus \(U(1)^N\). In order to clarify the higher-spin-structure of \(W_\infty(N_+, N_-)\), the discrete series in representation theory of \(U(N_+, N_-)\) and the arbitrary spin coherent states are calculated as well as the Kähler structures on flag manifolds are derived. They are used as the essential ingredients to define the operator symbols and to infer a geometric pathway between these generalized \(W_\infty\) symmetries and algebras of symbols of \(U(N_+, N_-)\)-tensor operators. The Poisson brackets in flag manifolds as classical limits of quantum structures and the Moyal quantum deformations \(W_\infty(N_+,N_-)\) through oscillator realization of \(U(N_+, N_-)\) algebra are computed. Some potential applications of the presented approach in the quantum field theories, gauge field models, like gauge theories of higher-extended objects and nonlinear sigma models on flag manifolds, are discussed.
