We prove the existence and uniqueness of a solution with helical symmetry for a modeling system of equations which are derived from the equations of the magnetic hydrodynamics in the tokamak approximation and which describe the evolution of small perturbations that vary in directions orthogonal to the external field on the Taylor scale. These equations generalize the known Kadomtsev-Pogutse equations and their subsequent modifications to the case of a sufficiently general symmetry of the plasma domain. Furthermore, they take into account the longitudinal and orthogonal components of the velocity and the magnetic field strength.
