The author considers a quantum analogue of a connected complex reductive group by asking the representation theory to be preserved. The aim of the paper is to study quantum \(\mathbf{SL}(3)\)'s and to classify them up to Hopf algebra isomorphism. The classification is completed in the nonelliptic case.
