The author considers a family of exponentially fitted shooting approximation methods to determine the numerical approximation of the solution of singular linear 1-D eigenvalue problems defined on semi-infinite intervals. Computed results illustrate the advantages of the method compared to some of the other methods frequently used to solve the problem. A discussion on the guarantees that eigenvalues are not missed in the course of the computation would have enhanced the research.
