A group \(G\) is a central locally splitting (c.l.s.) extension of \(A\) by \(B\cong G/A\) if \(A\leq Z(G)\) and, for each finitely generated \(H/A\), \(H\) splits over \(A\). It was shown by \textit{T. G. Deshura} [Mat. Zametki 11, 283-291 (1972; Zbl 0243.20038)] that the set of all c.l.s. extensions of \(A\) by \(B\) (\(B\) not necessarily Abelian) forms a group \(\text{PCExt}(B,A)\). The main result here shows that \(\text{PCExt}(B,A)\) is isomorphic to \(\text{PExt}(B^{ab},A)\).
