In most monographs on the spectral theory of linear operators in Banach spaces, it is assumed that these spaces are complex. In the present paper, the authors consider some problems in the spectral theory of linear operators on real Banach spaces. In fact, he considers the spectral theory of linear relations, in particular, multivalued linear operators on real Banach spaces. The second section gives a summary of the concepts and results used from the theory of linear relations. Then the authors consider the functor theory; they construct a covariant complexification functor on the category of linear real spaces with linear relations as morphisms to the category of complex linear spaces. The structure of invariant subspaces is considered in the third section. The paper also considers the complex resolvent and constructs a functional calculus for linear relations on real Banach spaces. Two applications of this functional calculus are given: the construction of a holomorphic semigroup of operators from a sectorial linear relation using its complex resolvent, and a spectral theorem, that is, given a spectral component of the complex spectrum of a linear relation, decomposing the relation into a direct sum of parts of the relation with disjoint spectra.
