The paper contains a study of the number of limit cycles which can bifurcate from the periodic orbits of a linear center perturbed inside the following class of discontinuities polynomial Liénard differential systems \[ \dot{x}=y, \quad \dot{y}=-x +\varepsilon(f(x)y+sgn(y)(k_1x+k_2)) \] where \(f\) is a polynomial of degree \(n\in\mathbb{N}\) and \(k_1, k_2\in \mathbb{R}\). The main result claims that for any \(n\geq1\) and sufficiently small \(\varepsilon\) the maximal number of limit cycles bifurcating from the periodic orbits of a linear center for mentioned systems is \([n/2]+1\), where \([\cdot]\) denotes the integer part function.
