Dynamic frictional thermoviscoelastic Gao beams (Q2244719): Difference between revisions

In this paper the author considers the problem determined by the dynamic frictional version of a thermoviscoelastic Gao beam. As this problem is determined by nonsmooth conditions it is useful to consider a regular approximation depending on a small parameter. Existence and uniqueness of local solutions for the approximate problem are obtained. Then, the existence to the first problem is obtained by tending the small parameter to zero. Finally, a fully discrete numerical scheme is proposed. Time discretization and FEM for the space variable are used. Some numerical experiments conclude the work.
