Ulrich sheaves are by definition arithmetically Cohen-Macaulay (ACM) sheaves having the largest permitted number of global sections. A variety supporting \(r\)-dimensional families of non-isomorphic indecomposable ACM sheaves, for arbitrarily large \(r\) has by definition {\textit{wild representation type}}. Many papers investigated such sheaves; we only recall [\textit{J, P. Brennan, J. Herzog} and \textit{B. Ulrich}, Math. Scand. 61, No. 2, 181--203 (1987; Zbl 0653.13015)], where they prove that a general linear determinantal scheme of dimension \(d \geq 1\) supports at least one rank \(1\) Ulrich bundle. The main results of this paper are listed below. 1. If \(X \subset \mathbb{P}^n \) is a general linear standard determinantal scheme of codimension one or two and dimension \(d \geq 2\), then \(X\) supports rank \(2\) indecomposable Ulrich sheaves. 2. If \(X \subset \mathbb{P}^4\) is a Bordiga surface, then, for every \(r \geq 3\), there is a family of rank \(r\) simple (hence indecomposable) Ulrich bundles of dimension \(10(s-1)\) if \(r = 2s\) is even and of dimension \(7s\) if \(r = 2s+1\) is odd. In particular \(X\) is of wild representation type. 3. If \(X \subset \mathbb{P}^4\) is a Castelnuovo surface, then, for every \(r \geq 3\), there is a family of rank \(r\) simple (hence indecomposable) Ulrich bundles of dimension \(7(s-1)\) if \(r = 2s\) is even and of dimension \(4s\) if \(r = 2s+1\) is odd. In particular X is of wild representation type.
