    The author continues his research in Funct. Anal. Appl. 21, 251-252 (1987); translation from Funkt. Anal. Priloz. 21, No.3, 91-92 (1987; Zbl 0635.32014)] on the value distribution of holomorphic mappings \(f: {\mathbb{C}}^ m\to X\), where X is a Banach space. Three Nevanlinna's characteristic functions of f are introduced: \[ T(t,f)={\mathfrak C}(t,\log \| f\|),\quad \tilde T(t,f)=\sup \{{\mathfrak C}(t,\log | (g,f)|):\;g\in X^*,\quad \| g\| <1\} \] and \(\hat T(t,f,G)={\mathfrak C}(t,\log \sum^{\infty}_{n=1}| (g_ n,f)|^ 2)\), where \(t>0\), \({\mathfrak C}(t,F(z))\) is the averaging of F over the sphere \(\| z\| =t\), and \(G=\{g_ n\}\subset X^*\) is an ``admissible system'', i.e. \(\sum^{\infty}_{n=1}| (g_ n,x)| <\infty\) for each \(x\in X\). Connections between T, \(\tilde T\) and \(\tilde T\) are established and an analogue to H. Cartan's theorem is proved. Plurisubharmonic functions and pluripolar sets are defined for \(X^*\) and an analogue of Ahlfors' theorem is given: \(N(t,t_ 0,g,f)=\tilde T(t,f)+O(T^{\alpha}(t,f))\), for \(t\to \infty\). Here \(N(t,t_ 0,g,f)={\mathfrak C}(1,\int^{t}_{t_ 0}n_ z(s)s^{-1}ds)\), \(n_ z(s)\) is the number of the zeros (counting multiplicities) of the function \(w\to (g,f(zw))\), \(w\in {\mathbb{C}}\), \(z\in {\mathbb{C}}^ m\), in \(| w| \leq s\), \(g\in X^*\setminus E\), E is a certain pluripolar set (with the Haar measure \(\mu\{\phi\): \(\sum^{\infty}_{n=1}g_ ne^{i\phi}_ n\in E\}=0\) for any admissible system G which satisfies \(\tilde T(t,f,G)=\tilde T(t,f)+0(\log \tilde T(t,f))\) for \(t\to \infty\), the existence of such a system being proved) and \(\alpha >\). A similar result holds for T. As consequences the Littlewood-Offord theorem on aleatory entire functions is generalized, functions of completely regular growth (CRG) are studied and an affirmative answer is given to a problem by Goldberg and Ostrowskii about the existence of an infinite linear combination of functions of CRG which is of CRG too.
