Decentralized state feedback control of discrete event systems with a (global) control specification given by a predicate is considered. In this framework, instead of a global state feedback, a collection of local state feedbacks controls the system so that, global behaviors satisfy the global control specifications. Each local state feedback acts on the corresponding subset of the controllable events based on the observation under the corresponding mask from the state space to the corresponding local observation space. The notion of \(n\)-observability is introduced, and necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a decentralized state feedback which achieves the global specification are provided. Moreover, synthesis of a decentralized state feedback for a simple manufacturing system is done.
