Let \(X\) be a pointed topological space and let \(\Omega^n(X)\) denote the space of pointed maps \(f: S^n\rightarrow X\) with the compact-open topology, where \(S^n\) represents a pointed \(n\)-sphere. For \(n\geq 1\), the \(n\)th homotopy group \(\pi_n(X)\) may be endowed with the natural quotient topology inherited from \(q: \Omega^n(X)\rightarrow \pi_n(X),q(f)=[f]\). In this paper it is proved that the group action \(\pi_1(X)\times \pi_n(X)\rightarrow \pi_n(X)\) of \(\pi_1(X)\) on \(\pi_n(X)\) fails to be continuous for a one-point union \(X=A\vee \mathbb{H}_n\) where \(A\) is an aspherical space such that \(\pi_1(A)\) is a topological group and \(\mathbb{H}_n\) is the \((n-1)\)-connected \(n\)-dimensional Hawaiian earring space such that \(\pi_n(\mathbb{H}_n)\) is a topological abelian group. Here \(A\) being aspherical means \(\pi_n(A)=0\) for \(n\geq 2\).
