The author shows that the classical model for the Dirac electron created by A. Barut with coworkers (so called Lagrangian formulation of the theory) can be obtained as Hamiltonian theory. This approach is based on a certain construction of exact symplectic structures on manifolds more general than cotangent bundles which is applied to the total space of the spin bundle over spacetime.
