The authors deal with oscillatory properties of the second-order nonlinear elliptic differential equation with damping \[ \sum^n_{i,j=1} D_i(a_{ij}(x)D_jy)+ \sum^n_{i=1} b_i(x) D_iy+ q(x) f(y)= g(x),\;x\in \Omega,\tag{1} \] where \(s= (x_1,\dots, x_n)\in \mathbb{R}^n\), \(D_i= {\partial\over\partial x_i}\), and \(\Omega(1)= \{x\in\mathbb{R}^n\mid|x|> 1\}\). Under suitable assumptions on \(a_{ij}(x)\), \(b_i(x)\), \(q(x)\), \(f(\cdot)\) and \(g(x)\) the authors prove some nonoscillation and oscillation theorems. To this end, they use the partial Riccati transformation and the function sequence.
