The dynamics of a predator-prey system with one resource and two consumers is analyzed. It is assumed that the first consumer species feeds upon the resource according to the Holling type-II functional response, while the second consumer species feeds on the resource following the Bedington-DeAngelis functional response, with competition among the two consumers for the common resource. It is proved that the unique positive steady state is stable for both the ODE as well as the reaction-diffusion systems. A priori estimates of this steady state is given, and the no-existence of nonconstant positive steady state, the existence and bifurcation of nonconstant positive steady state are studied.
