The aim of this article is to prove several facts about spaces with a quadratic isoperimetric inequality. The authors generalize the fact that the Dehn function of a manifold or simplicial complex is a quasi-isometry invariant to broader classes of spaces; they show that quadratic Dehn functions are nearly stable under ultralimits; and prove Hölder extension properties for spaces with quadratic Dehn functions.
