The paper deals with the characteristic initial value problem for a quasilinear hyperbolic differential equation of second order, namely the Darboux problems. A method, which yields pointwise enclosures of the domain of determinacy and of the corresponding solution, is presented. This method has been implemented and numerical results are presented.
