It is proved that a Banach space \(X\) has the property that if \(Y\) is a Banach space and \(\sum_i K_i\) is a series of operators in \(L(X, Y)\) which is unconditionally convergent in the weak operator topology then it is unconditionally convergent in the uniform operator topology, if and only if the dual space \(X^*\) contains no copy of \(c_0\). Let \(X\) be a Banach space. The space of bounded multiplier convergent series in \(X\) is defined to be \[ \text{BMC}(X)= \Biggl\{(x_i)\in X^N: \sum_i t_ix_i\text{ converges for each }(t_i)\in\ell_\infty\Biggr\}; \] it is a Banach space with respect to the norm \[ |(x_i)|_{\text{bmc}}+ \sup\Biggl\{\Biggl|\sum^\infty_{i= 1} t_ix_i\Biggr|: \sup|t_i|\leq 1\Biggr\}. \] The main theorem depends upon a characterization of relatively compact subsets of \(\text{BMC}(X^*)\) in the case that \(X^*\) contains no copy of \(c_0\).
