In the paper solutions of a linear variational system obtained by change of variables from Riemann solutions of the hyperbolic conservation laws are considered in a weighted Hilbert space, and \(n\)-Lax shocks are taken into accounts. The semigroup techniques are the techniques of the investigation. Properties of continuous dependence on time or space and differentiability of solutions on \(D(A)\), where \(A\) is the generator of corresponding semigroup, are investigated. In addition, the following is shown a) a region \(\Re \lambda>-\eta\) consists of normal points only; b) eigenvalues of the linear system correspond to zero of the transcendental matrix determinant, they and resonance value lie on vertical lines in the complex plane; c) solution of the linear system are \({\mathcal O} (e^{\gamma t})\) for the constant \(\gamma\) greater than the largest real parts of the eigenvalues and the coordinates of resonance lines.
