The author considers the motion of a conservative dynamical system with two degrees of freedom in a rotating coordinate system which rotates with the constant angular velocity around an axis normal to the invariable plane of the system. It is demonstrated that the motion of the system can be obtained from the complete solutions of three quasi-linear partial differential equations of the first order. The first two equations follow from the supposition that the velocity of the system can be represented as a field depending upon the position of the system and the time. The third partial equation follows from the Hamilton-Jacobi equation which turns to be linear with respect to the Hamilton principal function. An exhaustive geometrical description of motion is given. The paper represents a very interesting and valuable approach to the study of scleronomic conservative dynamical systems, for which the separation of variables in the sense of the Hamilton-Jacobi theory is impossible.
