The problem of a steady solution of the nonlinear kinetic equation with model collision operator is formulated in a rectangular domain and solved under various different boundary conditions by the finite-difference method. Both symmetric boundary conditions, under which there is direct longitudinal gas flow from one end of the channel between parallel plates to the other, and asymmetric boundary conditions, corresponding to the case of mass flow across the lateral plane of the gap, are considered.
