The paper aims to find a closed form expression for the general solution of the type \(\sum^ p_ 0 {d^ q\over dt^ q} x(t)= f(t)\), where \(A_ j\) is \(n\times n\) matrix of complex numbers, \(x(t)\) and \(f(t)\) are (\(n\)-dimensional) vectors, together with the multi-point boundary values given by \(\sum^ p_{h= 1} E_{jh}({d^{h-1}\over dt^{h-1}} x)_{a_ j}= F_ j\) \((1\leq j\leq q,\;a_ j> a_{j-1})\). The approach is based on the concept of co-solution of algebraic matrix equations of polynomial type, without considering it as an extended first order system.
